Challenge

The opportunity arose for us to take creative charge of an award campaign for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) DC chapter for a second time. Our goals were:
• Inspire advertising professionals in the DC area to submit work to the AAF awards.
• Increase engagement with and interest in becoming part of the AAF
• Build DC creative sentiment and community

Solution

Advertising is an intense industry, that’s a fact. Long hours, exhausting demands, and endless emails are not uncommon. This allowed us to recognize our fellow professionals for who they truly are: heroes of advertising. Colorful camouflage accompanied ‘war stories’ shared by club members were donned by the collateral, event decorations, and a few brave souls who starred in a hilarious re-enactment. Our talented friends at Eastward Films and Matthew Rakola Photography joined us for concepting and helped us greatly with the execution of video and photography.
