Race for Hope
What We Did
Social Media Strategy, Design Illustration
The challenge:
We had a great, fun partnering with The National Brain Tumor Society in 2016, when we completed a highly successful social media campaign to cover their annual 5K run, “Race for Hope,” where we created signage, emails, Snapchat Geo-filters, the Instagram handle and the official hashtag “#Race4hope.” We were happy to engage again with them in 2017, this time, during their 20th anniversary.
This is a great organization, working very hard to accelerate the cure for brain tumors. A cause we feel very close to and we love to have it be our pro-bono client. Not only are they smart and hard working, but they’re also open to new ideas and fun to work with.
Our goal was to build a tool kit for people to get excited, create and post content in different social media platforms using the handle #Race4hope.
The solution:
Using as many communication points as possible (signs, t-shirts, the event jumbotron screen, email mentions, and snapchat filters) we allowed people to share in the experience of Race for Hope.
The event gained traction in social media quickly. People at the race shared their photos on Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook, using the hashtag #Race4Hope, which increased from 480 in 2016 to 1,018 in 2017!
