The challenge:

We needed to create a campaign to showcase NPR’s leadership in an increasingly complex media landscape, and show how NPR continues to engage people in a relationship with its content – capturing the hearts and minds of its desirable audience.

The target was marketing executives from both agency and client side and the format, one of the most peculiar we have ever worked with – elevator screens! – and rich media banners in AdWeek (this one is not so peculiar, but the elevators…).

The solution:

Create a simple concept with a clear message that is unique to audio products and captures the essence of NPR’s leadership in the field.

Then, hit hard with a striking visual that will force people to look up and pay attention. A haunting disembodied swimming ear did the trick and got the piece noticed in a very competitive landscape.
