WiConnect3 – Phase3

Challenge

In 2016 we started helping IDB ideate, design and develop a platform that:

Helps connect Civil Society organizations on the ground working across 20 sectors (education, climate change, agriculture…) with governments and private sector.
Serves as a hub for educational resources and a source of useful content for the thousands of organizations signed up

In the spring of 2019 we finalized the 3rd phase of evolution of the original platform featuring now over 2,000 organizations.

Solution

Our proposed platform engaged users from the get go making the “search” tool the main point of entry to access all the public profiles of the CSOs and filtering them by location, sector or name. The platform also featured other IDB related resources, such as trainings, events, and publications. Accessible in Spanish and English, the site offers a clean and modern look with a user-friendly search bar to get started.

With high volumes of content including events and webinars comes the need of curating, and publishing efficiently. We developed a powerful CMS to give control to different community managers working in different locations.
